My micro-rooting of a baby’s hair

My baby dolls’ heads have all been micro-rooted with the finest, softest and highest quality mohair! Micro-rooting is the most time-consuming process in creating the most beautiful reborn dolls and can take up to 60 hours or more to accomplish. A felting needle is used to insert one to two pieces of mohair at a time so that the hair looks as if it is actually growing out of the baby’s head. I only use the very best of premium Angora mohair, and use 42 gauge and 43g rooting needles.
Then I seal the hair inside the head with a strong waterproof glue so that the baby’s hair can be gently conditioned and styled. The hair is cut into a style that fits the doll face and personality!

My new creation – little Mashenka from Russian folk tales. She was created from Donna Rubert new released “Taylor” sculpt.
I handmade Russian dress for her and all the accessories. Being that I am Russian myself, I love creating little Russian girls and costumes for them. Masha is a toddler doll, 31″ long with straight legs, able to stand on her own, as there is an armature inside her body, that helps her stand. She has gorgeous long real human hair, german glass eyes ( grey/green color), micro-rooted eyelashes and eyebrows

Reborn baby boy Asher Donna Lee sculpt

Hi everyone,
Here is my new creation! Incredibly realistic newborn baby boy Asher (Donna Lee sculpt). He is available for adoption! He is 20” long (50 cm) and weighs 8 lbs (3,6 kg) (Real baby weight). He is so lifelike it is amazing, Donna Lee did a fabulous job sculpting this little guy, it was such a joy to bring him to life! I think he is even more lifelike in person than in the pictures, his head is super floppy it needs support like a real baby’s head.

She was born May 26, 2011, measuring at 23″ long and weighs 10 lbs ( REAL BABY WEIGHT). She feels and looks so real.. it is amazing, her head is super floppy just like a real baby’s.
